Volunteer Information
In order to volunteer at GCA or for any field trips, please follow the instructions below:
-
Print the Volunteer ePIC request document and add the date and your name. Take the form, along with two pieces of Government issued ID (one with a photo) to your local Police Department (RCMP, if you live outside the City of Calgary). If you live in the City limits and would prefer to do the process online, Here is the link. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the green highlighted line that says Perform Personal Police Information Check. Our agency name is GCA Educational Society.
-
Results are sent directly to you. Please review the results to ensure nothing further is needed by the Police agency (ie fingerprinting). If you've done it online and are satisfied that it's complete, please click the SHARE button on your result so that the School has access to the result as well, or, print and return a copy to us at the school. Share the result with GCA Educational Society (NOT Glenmore Christian Academy). The school will not see your results unless you share them with us.
-
Police information checks are good for a term of 3 years. If you have one available from another Albertan organization we are happy to use it until it expires. Your police information check must include the Vulnerable Sector Search.
-
Print, complete and return the Volunteer Agreement to the school office.
-
Print and have two non-family members complete the Volunteer References document, then return them to the office.
-
Read the Child Abuse & Protection Training (required annually), Abuse Disclosure Policy, Volunteer Procedure For Day Field Trips, Child Protection Procedures and the Volunteer Policy.
