Apex Intramurals

APEX Athletics is a before school sports program for any grade 6 or 7 student. It runs on Wednesday and/or Thursday mornings from 7:45-8:15 am in the East gym.

What Sets Us Apart?

• Christ Centered Character: Apex Athletics prioritizes sportsmanship, integrity, and humility above the final score. Whether in victory or defeat, our goal is that students act with respect, compete with integrity, and the words spoken on and off the court reflect the character of Christ.

• Equal Opportunity for Everyone: We accomplish this through three core principles:

  • Zero-Barrier Entry: No tryouts, no cuts, and no stressful evaluations. Every student who signs up gets placed on a team.

  • Parallel Schedules: We run concurrent schedules for our boys' and girls' teams to make participation as straightforward and accessible as possible for busy families.

  • Level Playing Fields: We feature a unique lineup of non-traditional sports, carefully selected and refined through trial and error, so every student feels welcome and everyone learns together.

• Teamwork & Respect: We value positive team culture over individual glory. Respect for teammates, opponents, and staff is expected at all times, with every game ending in a handshake or high five.

• Healthy, Safe Competition: Success isn't defined by winning a championship at all costs. By forming randomly assigned teams, we intentionally help students build new friendships and foster respect across our school community. We use sports as a classroom to teach healthy competition; balancing passionate intensity with Christian integrity, whether in victory or loss. Plus, starting the day with physical activity gives students a proven brain boost that carries right into the classroom!
